Job Title: Event Security Officer

Overview:

We are seeking a reliable and professional Event Security Officer to provide personal security and ensure a safe working environment for a solo bartender at various events. The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal skills, experience in security or law enforcement, and a commitment to maintaining a secure atmosphere for staff, guests, and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Personal Security: Accompany the bartender during events to deter potential threats and ensure their personal safety.
• Access Control & Monitoring: Oversee entry points to the bar area, monitor crowd behavior, and respond promptly to unusual or suspicious activity.
• Conflict Resolution: De-escalate conflicts and disruptive behavior in a calm, professional manner while adhering to safety protocols.
• Incident Reporting: Document and report any security-related incidents or injuries, following proper incident reporting procedures.
• Collaboration: Communicate effectively with event staff, venue management, and local authorities if needed.
• Emergency Response: Provide first aid or CPR if necessary, and coordinate with emergency services in the event of medical or safety emergencies.

Qualifications

• Experience: Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field is preferred.
• Licensing/Certification: Valid security guard license (if required by local/state regulations). CPR and First Aid certification highly desired.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods and respond quickly in emergencies.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal communication and conflict resolution skills.
• Professionalism: Strong sense of responsibility, reliability, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Availability: Flexible to work evenings, weekends, and varying event schedules.
