• The Department of Information Technology (DIT) for the State of North Carolina is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Business Analyst to support app rationalization efforts and business architecture initiatives.
• The successful candidate will work closely with stakeholders across various state departments to analyze, optimize, and consolidate the portfolio of applications and IT systems.
• This role will be key to aligning technology with business strategies and ensuring that the state's digital infrastructure is efficient, scalable, and cost-effective.

Key Responsibilities:

· App Rationalization:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess the current application portfolio, identifying redundant, obsolete, or underutilized systems.
• Analyze the lifecycle, performance, and value of existing applications to guide decisions on retirement, consolidation, replacement, or optimization.
• Support the development of roadmaps and strategies to streamline the application portfolio, ensuring alignment with business goals and technology standards.

· Business Architecture Support:

• Assist in the creation and documentation of business architecture models, aligning business processes with technology solutions.
• Work with stakeholders to identify business requirements, system dependencies, and pain points in current workflows.
• Ensure that technology solutions and application rationalization efforts align with the overall business architecture framework.

· Qualifications:

o Experience:

• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Business Analyst or in a similar role, with a focus on application portfolio management, business architecture, and/or IT strategy.
• Proven experience in app rationalization or business architecture efforts, especially in large, complex organizations or public sector environments.
• Strong understanding of business processes, systems integration, and the software development lifecycle.




Skill Required / Desired Amount of Experience Experience as a Business Analyst or in a similar role, with a focus on application portfolio management, business architecture, and/or IT strategy.
