Job Description

As a Skilled Electrician (Electrician ,you will be a member of the department's operating team and will be responsible for operating/using complex electrical tools, troubleshooting, and repairing equipment. For External Hires: $1500 Sign-on bonus paid out in two increments as follows: $750 paid out at 30 days, $750 paid out at 90 days. Starting pay rate is $41.42 an hour! At 6 months of employment you will you get a pay increase and after a year and a half you will be at top pay rate which is $43.83 an hour. You will have the opportunity to: Install, troubleshoot, and maintain electrical systems and equipment. Work from circuit diagrams and SOP's, when available, and recommends alterations to Lead Electrician or other appropriate departmental personnel. May be asked to assume duties of Lead Electrician when absent. Recognize operational irregularities on equipment of processes, accurately determines the cause and takes appropriate corrective actions. Assist Lead Electrician with providing training to other departmental personnel/apprentices/co-ops/2YD. REQUIREMENTS: ~ Must have a High School Diploma or GED. ~2-year degree in electrical controls or electronics. ~ Must have 2 years of Industrial Electrician experience. ~ Must have completed at least five years of industrial electrical maintenance work or relevant military experience. ~ A completed approved four-year apprentice program will also be considered. ~ Shift work is mandatory.
