Job Description:

Summary:

• The main function of a QA Test Engineer is to develop, implement, and document all testing activities, including test planning, test documentation, test execution, defect tracking and reporting, including follow-up and issue resolution.

Responsibilities:

• Execute test plans, scenarios, scripts or procedures Test system modifications to prepare for implementation
• Develop testing programs that addresses areas such as database impacts, software scenarios, or usability Document software defects, using a bug tracking system, and report defects to software developers
• Identify, analyze and document problems with program function, output, online screen or content Monitor bug resolution efforts and track successes
• Create or maintain databases of known test defects Plan test schedules or strategies in accordance with project scope or delivery dates

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in engineering required.
• 8-10 years experience required Experience testing software
• Experience writing test documentation such as Test Plans, scripts and test results reports Ability to analyze/interpret test results and provide recommendations to improve testing

Typical Day in the Role

• Purpose of the Team: This is the Marketing & Web Development team and maintain the client .com.
• The team works closely with the IT on order systems, financing of vehicles and other features within the website.
• They are small but mighty with 6 members total in the department.

Key projects:

• The team recently worked on migrating the website into a different system and now working on building out new components such as re-designing where the customers can view their vehicle data, vehicle estimates, owner manuals and other QA development projects.

• Years of Experience Required: 8 overall years of experience in the field.
• Degrees or certifications required: N/A
• Disqualifiers: N/A
• Best vs. Average: The ideal resume would contain well-seasoned experience in the hard skill requirements including - Extensive website manual testing experience, BrowserStack, Playwright, iOS device testing, JIRA, Agile, scrum.
• Performance Indicators: Performance will be assessed based on quality of work and meeting deadlines.

Top 3 Hard Skills Required + Years of Experience

• Minimum 8 years experience with Jira
• Minimum 8 years of extensive Manual & Automated testing experience
• 3.Minimum 8 years experience with Cross browser testing tools including Browserstack and Playwright.

• Expected Dates that Hard Skills Assessments will be scheduled: ASAP
• Hard Skills Assessment Process: The assessment process will include 2 rounds minimum.
