We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Packaging Engineer to enhance our team. This position involves developing innovative packaging solutions that not only meet customer requirements but also drive profitability and operational excellence. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in packaging design and a proven track record in mechanical engineering and sales.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop packaging solutions that improve customer operations and satisfaction.
• Work closely with sales representatives to identify customer needs and showcase equipment capabilities through site visits.
• Collaborate with Engineering to ensure seamless integration of packaging solutions into customer operations.
• Conduct rigorous testing and analysis to evaluate product performance, safety, and environmental impact.
• Utilize expertise in various packaging substrates such as film, corrugated foam, wood, and more to solve complex packaging challenges.
• Assist sales reps in closing deals by providing innovative packaging designs and timely responses to inquiries.
• Create detailed project documentation, including CAD designs, specifications, and product data.
• Support the sales department in achieving annual revenue goals.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Packaging Engineering with over 5 years of design experience.
• Experience in mechanical engineering and a strong understanding of the packaging industry.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and other design software.
• Comprehensive knowledge of packaging materials and processes.
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Salesforce.
• Bilingual in Spanish is advantageous.
• Willingness to travel up to 30% for client meetings and project requirements.
