About Us

At Faith Christian Academy (FAITH), our mission is to provide Christ-centered education that equips students to grow spiritually, academically, and athletically. We seek an Athletic Director who will lead our athletic programs with excellence, integrity, and a heart for discipleship.

Position Summary

The Athletic Director oversees all aspects of the school’s athletic programs, ensuring they reflect our Christian values and commitment to excellence. This role includes supervision of coaches, athletes, facilities, finances, transportation, public relations, and compliance with WIAA, WCPC, and FAITH’s Academic and Athletic standards.

Key Responsibilities

1. Leadership & Coach Development

  • Recruit, recommend, and train coaches to disciple student-athletes and uphold school values.
  • Ensure coaches meet certification requirements and submit contracts.
  • Conduct pre- and post-season meetings, evaluations, and maintain team policies on file.

2. Athletic Program Oversight

  • Develop and publish practice and competition schedules.
  • Provide equitable resources and facilities for all programs.
  • Organize officials, support staff, and attend home contests.
  • Coordinate athletic banquets, awards nights, and pep assemblies.

3. Student-Athlete Support

  • Monitor eligibility and promote sportsmanship and Christ-like character.
  • Assist athletes with college exposure and scholarship opportunities.

4. Facilities & Financial Management

  • Oversee gym scheduling, equipment orders, and athletic budget.
  • Secure additional facilities and manage fundraising efforts. Transportation & Lodging
  • Arrange travel for teams as needed. Public Relations & Community Engagement
  • Foster positive coach-parent relationships.
  • Maintain athletic records and communicate with media outlets.
  • Organize special events (Family Night, Senior Night, Alumni Night, etc.).

Policy Compliance

  • Ensure adherence to WIAA, WCPC, and FAITH's Academic and Athletic policies.
  • Represent the school at conferences and WIAA meetings.

Communication & Reporting

  • Maintain clear communication with families and staff.
  • Provide annual reports to the school board and notify administration of major incidents.

Professional Development

  • Maintain WADA membership and pursue CAA certification.
  • Stay current with WIAA updates and best practices.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (in Education, Sports Management, or related field, preferred.)
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Commitment to Christian discipleship and integration of faith in athletics.
  • Experience in athletic administration and familiarity with WIAA regulations.
