Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Part-Time Yacht Mate for immediate hire to work Friday evening through Sunday evening on a 75' yacht in Miami, Florida. The ideal candidate must have 20+ years of relevant experience and be capable of handling all aspects of yacht operations and maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the Captain with docking procedures, including proper communication, line management, fender placement, power connections, and dock water systems.
• Maintain the yacht’s exterior by washing, polishing, cleaning teak, detailing compartments, cleaning windows and curtains, maintaining the helm area, and preparing grills, coolers, and refrigerators.
• Perform weekly maintenance of HVAC systems, including cleaning and scrubbing components.
• Oversee engine room cleaning, inspections, painting, and managing operational components, as well as filling the freshwater tank and placing cushions and covers.
• Clean and stock refrigerators and icemakers.
• Procure provisions for weekend and day trips.
• Prepare meals requiring grilling during onboard operations.
• Operate and maintain a 25' tender, ensuring its immaculate condition and safe navigation while accompanying the yacht to weekend destinations.
• Be familiar with local fishing spots, bait, and tackler required for South Florida fishing trips.

Additional Details:

• Onboard accommodations provided from Friday to Sunday evening.
• Safety is high priority, as a young child is aboard.
• No smoking, drug use, or illegal activities permitted onboard.

Seasonal Schedule:

• The yacht will travel to the Bahamas (May–June).
• The yacht will dock in South Carolina during the summer (June–October).

Qualifications:

• Self-motivated, experienced, reliable, and a team player.
• Proficient in IT skills and eager to grow in the role.
• Strong knowledge of yachting operations and safety protocols.

Compensation:
Pay is based on experience, references, and qualifications.
