VA Northern Indiana Healthcare System has an immediate career opportunity available. We are currently seeking a Clinical Medical Director to support our Whole Health Program.

The primary role of a Clinical Director is to manage and plan how services are delivered and contribute to the process of strategic planning, influencing and responding to organizational priorities, (50% Administrative duties). This will involve responsibility for creating an annual Whole Health System Strategic Plan, identifying Whole Health system development priorities, and working with the Executive Team/ appropriate Service level chiefs, Associate Chiefs of Staff (ACOS) and program manager and whole health steering committee at VANIHCS. This position will provide direct supervision for approximately 5.0 FTE, with a mix of clinical and administrative employees.
The incumbent is expected to display leadership acumen sufficient to provide direction for single and complex programs in the delivery of care. The incumbent is expected to have strong interpersonal skills and demonstrate a commitment to an interdisciplinary approach to patient care delivery. The incumbent is expected to demonstrate the ability to coordinate a broad continuum of programs and demonstrate abilities to work well within a senior management team. The incumbent is expected to demonstrate skills in providing clinical interface with academic affiliates and other key stakeholders and display experience. The incumbent expected to perform direct patient care to maintain clinical competency, (50% Clinical Duties).
Hours: Mon-Friday 0800-430 pm
Recruitment Incentive (Sign-on Bonus): Not Authorized
Paid Time Off: 50-55 days of annual paid time offer per year (26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays per year and possible 5 day paid absence for CME)
Retirement: Traditional federal pension (5 years vesting) and federal 401K with up to 5% in contributions by VA
Insurance: Federal health/vision/dental/term life/long-term care (many federal insurance programs can be carried into retirement
Licensure: 1 full and unrestricted license from any US State or territory
CME: Possible $1,000 per year reimbursement

Contract: No Physician Employment Contract and no significant restriction on moonlighting
