Video Production Technician CT-N
The Connecticut Democracy Center (CTDC) is seeking an experienced, full-time Production Technician to work on productions originating from the Connecticut Network (CT-N) broadcast control room in Hartford and remote locations throughout Connecticut.

The Video Production Technician is part of the team responsible for the recording, airing and live streaming of original network programming. Under the supervision of the Director of Operations a Video Production Technician is responsible for setting up and operating ENG cameras and audio equipment at different locations around the state to facilitate live shots. This position will also direct multi-camera events in the Legislative Office Building and State Capitol using robotically controlled PTZ cameras, video production switchers, character generators, audio mixers, routers and video servers.
The ideal candidate will successfully multi-task in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, using superior communications and interpersonal skills and paying close attention to detail. You must function well independently and as part of a highly motivated team while meeting tight deadlines. Knowledge of state government a plus! Flexibility in work schedules required, working scheduled or unscheduled overtime as needed. The ability to lift or move up to approximately 50 lbs. on a regular basis is required, as is an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 2 - 4 years of relevant experience. You must also possess a valid driver’s license.
CTDC offers an hourly rate of $17/hr. with excellent benefits that include medical, vision, and dental insurance, basic life insurance, a retirement savings plan with company contribution, 13 paid Holidays, 3.5 weeks of paid time off, paid lunch breaks, and free parking. No relocation assistance provided.
