Job Description

Skilled in developing traffic forecasts and related process improvements?  TxDOT seeks an individual with solid skills in traffic forecasting to support development of methods, guidance, tools, and resources in support of project development. This individual will support TxDOT Districts statewide and Metropolitan Planning Organizations to perform traffic forecast analysis for transportation projects. The position will have opportunities to collaborate with multi-disciplined teams from local, state and federal levels to support transportation project planning and development in Texas.  The ideal candidate will demonstrate experience in the traffic forecasting , and the application of methods to provide guidance, oversight, and review of traffic forecasting.

Minimum Salary: 100,000.00  Maximum Salary: 118,000.00

Position Description
Performs advanced senior level project management work related to transportation corridor/project development. Work involves coordinating the planning and initiation of projects at various levels of completion; monitoring the progress and schedule of projects; and communicating with project stakeholders, management and other relevant parties. Coordinates projects with federal, state and local governments. Work requires contact with departmental managers, high-level executives, governmental/university officials and/or private entities. Employees at this level establish their own work plan and priorities to meet set objectives. Issues are rarely referred to the supervisor but are handled at the occurrence.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in business administration, planning, engineering, project management, or related discipline.
Relevant work experience may be substituted for degree on a year per year basis. Substitutions for Minimum Qualifications

Experience:

5 years project management experience.
Experience can be satisfied by full-time or prorated part-time equivalent.
Related graduate level education may be substituted for experience on a year per year basis.

Licenses and Certifications:
•    Valid driver’s license. This position requires driving a state vehicle.
