Job Description

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and skilled Technical Product Owner to join a dynamic team, working remotely with the potential for occasional onsite visits in Columbia, MD after contract completion. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on impactful projects in the education technology space.

Pay Rate: $50-$55/hr
Location: Remote (for 6-month contract, with the possibility of transitioning to hybrid work in Columbia, MD)

Key Responsibilities:

Lead projects focusing on auto registration, financial aid optimization, and degree planning.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance and streamline the student experience, particularly in the areas of registration and financial aid.
Utilize your expertise in Banner AR (Accounts Receivable) and other financial aid systems to drive project success.
Serve as a liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders, ensuring smooth communication and understanding.
Work closely with team members to ensure project goals are met and the needs of the business are addressed.

Ideal Candidate:

Experienced in technical product ownership, specifically with Ellucian Banner AR (Accounts Receivable) and Degree Works.
A background in education technology, particularly related to registration, degree planning, and financial aid systems, is highly preferred.
A collaborative and enthusiastic approach to teamwork and problem-solving.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a passion for improving student experiences through technology.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in product ownership or similar roles, particularly with Ellucian Banner and Degree Works.
Proven track record in managing financial aid systems, with an in-depth understanding of Banner AR (Accounts Receivable).
Strong soft skills and a positive attitude, able to work effectively with various teams and stakeholders.

Additional Notes:

This is a contract-to-hire position, with the possibility of transitioning to a hybrid schedule of working onsite 4 days a week in Columbia, MD after the contract period.
