InfraHire is looking for a Sr.Operation Manager in Newark, NJ.
Job Description:
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food manufacturing or poultry/meat processing , with proven leadership skills and experience driving continuous improvement in a fast-paced environment.
Manage and oversee day-to-day plant operations, including production, packaging, maintenance, and sanitation.
Ensure all operations comply with USDA, FDA, and company food safety standards (HACCP, SQF, GMP, etc.).
Monitor production performance metrics to ensure on-time delivery, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
Lead, train, and develop production supervisors and hourly staff to meet operational goals.
Partner with Quality Assurance, Engineering, and Maintenance teams to resolve process or equipment issues.
Implement process improvements to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and maintain product consistency.
Ensure adherence to all health, safety, and environmental policies.
Manage labor schedules, production planning, and resource allocation based on demand.
Support continuous improvement initiatives such as Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma practices.
Maintain accurate records of production data, inventory, and performance reports.
Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Food Science, Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
5+ years of experience in food manufacturing operations; poultry or meat processing experience strongly preferred.
Strong understanding of USDA regulations, HACCP, and GMP requirements.
Proven experience leading cross-functional teams in a production environment.
Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with ERP systems.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
