Eaton's Electrical Engineering & Services division is currently seeking a Senior Power Systems Engineer. This is a hybrid role with approximately 25% travel! The expected annual salary range for this role is $83,250 - $122,100 a year. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Active participation in technical societies such as IEEE and collaboration with a variety of utilities and industries ensures that our engineers are knowledgeable about today's cutting edge engineering techniques. We assist customers at every stage of the power system: from substation and distribution system design to renewable energy and smart grid engineering, from safety and reliability-focused studies to power quality and grounding related audits and analyses. The primary purpose of this position is to provide applied engineering and technical consultation for customers in the areas of power systems studies, power quality analysis, installation, startup, maintenance, repair and training. **In this role, you will:** - Perform power system analyses including but not limited to short-circuit, protective device coordination, AC & DC arc flash hazard, harmonics, voltage drop, load flow, transient motor start, and power factor correction studies. - Cross-collaborate with internal adjacent teams and external customers and contractors for the successful completion of projects. - Self-management of assigned projects and job cost accountability to perform work within budgeted cost estimates. - Interpret specifications and customer inquiries and design technical proposals and pricing for customers - Provide technical solutions to customers that may involve equipment design or upgrades, testing of equipment, solutions relating to increase safety, reliability, or efficiency - Mentor or lead other engineers on medium sized projects. **Qualifications:** **Basic Qualifications:** - Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering/Engineering Technology from an accredited institution. - Minimum of 3 years of experience in power system design or analysis. - Must be able to work in the US without company sponsorship now or in the future. - All candidates must reside within a 50-mile radius of the work locations listed. No relocation is being offered for this role. **Preferred Qualifications:** - 5+ years of experience - Licensed Professional Engineer in the state of Oklahoma and/or Arkansas. - IEEE Membership and active participation in local IEEE chapter. **Skills:** **POSITION CRITERIA:** - Strong theoretical understanding of power system analysis for low- and medium-voltage applications. - Experience with power system analysis including short-circuit, coordination, and arc-flash hazard analysis. - Experience with managing a diverse range of small- and medium-sized projects unassisted, within targeted deadlines and budget. - Strong ability to cross-collaborate with adjacent functions (Sales, Project Management, Manufacturing, etc) and to coordinate with external customers and contractors. - Excellent communication skills and the ability to lead customer-facing discussions and technical collaborations. - Submit to periodic customer required background and drug screenings. - Successfully complete and maintain compliance with the company's safety program. \#LI-LS3 We are committed to ensuring equal employment opportunities for all job applicants and employees.
