Senior Electrical Engineer – Building Design
A well-established, multi-office engineering firm seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead and coordinate electrical design on major building projects in sectors such as healthcare, education, commercial, and light industrial. The successful candidate will collaborate across disciplines, mentor junior team members, and interface with clients to deliver high-quality design solutions.
Lead the electrical design process for assigned projects, ensuring alignment with company standards.
Prepare and review project documentation, coordinating with both internal teams and external partners.
Mentor and advise junior staff to support their technical and professional development.
Manage project timelines, staffing requirements, and electrical budget in partnership with the Project Manager.
Participate in recruiting and interviewing prospective team members.
Foster strong client relationships to encourage repeat business.
Support ongoing quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives.
Registered Professional Engineer (PE) with approximately 10–15 years of experience.
Significant background in electrical design for buildings (healthcare, education, commercial, federal, or light industrial preferred).
Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
Proven ability to collaborate across disciplines and with clients.
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or related field.
Willingness to travel occasionally.
Availability for night/weekend work as needed to meet project deadlines.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and climb ladders as required.
Commitment to ongoing professional and technical training (minimum 10 hours of company-approved continuing education annually).
