Job Summary:
We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Scrum Master to lead and guide Agile teams in supporting the operation and maintenance of critical enterprise-level systems. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams, including product owners, capability delivery managers, and program managers, to ensure effective project delivery. You will be responsible for fostering an Agile environment, managing project development, and ensuring the successful completion of projects within scope and timeline.
Responsibilities:
- Champion Agile culture, values, behaviors, and principles across teams.
- Create a collaborative and supportive team environment that fosters growth and success.
- Work closely with Agile Coaches to provide constructive feedback, encouraging continuous improvement.
- Plan and facilitate Agile ceremonies such as Sprint Planning, Daily Standups, Backlog Refinement, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.
- Manage and update the product backlog, ensuring all tasks and progress are accurately tracked.
- Maintain team metrics and regularly report on project status, ensuring transparency and alignment with stakeholders.
- Take proactive ownership of issues or blockers, coordinating resolutions to maintain project momentum.
- Work closely with other DevOps teams to manage inter-team dependencies and ensure smooth project execution.
- Lead release management activities, ensuring adherence to SDLC artifacts and coordinating regression testing and deployment support.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Solid experience with Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, Lean, etc.).
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience as a Scrum Master, guiding teams through Agile processes.
- Ability to anticipate challenges and effectively mitigate potential risks or delays.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage multiple stakeholder needs.
- Proven ability to understand system flows, interfaces, and system infrastructure.
- Excellent organizational skills, with experience managing backlogs and tracking work progress.
- Experience in fostering a collaborative team environment that promotes open communication.
- Proficiency in MS Office tools including Excel, Word, Visio, PowerPoint, and MS Project.
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM), or equivalent.
- Project Management Professional (PMP), Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP), or other Agile-related certifications.
- Experience with SAFe methodologies and roles such as SA, RTE, or SSM.
- 8+ years of experience in Scrum Master roles, especially in Software Development.
- Familiarity with project management tools such as JIRA, ADO, and Confluence.
- Previous experience as a software developer is highly preferred.
- Experience with Cloud Technologies is a plus.
- Strong facilitation skills, with the ability to listen actively, mediate discussions, and encourage diverse perspectives.
- A strong advocate for continuous improvement and change management.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams.
Education Requirements:
- High School Diploma with 8 years of IT experience
- Associate's Degree with 6 years of IT experience
- Bachelor's Degree with 4 years of IT experience
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit for extended periods at a desk and work on a computer.
