We will evaluate the primary outcome (6 min walk test at 12 months) and secondary outcomes at 3 months, 12 months, and 24 months. In addition to enrollment at Johns Hopkins, enrolling sites include the University of California San Francisco, University of Michigan, and University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.
In the NIH-funded ARIC-NCS Wearable Study, we are enrolling ARIC participants who are age 80+ and own a smartphone into a longitudinal wearables study in which they wear a Fitbit Charge tracker and receive ongoing technical support.
