Description Of Job This is a flexible, short-term contract position. The contract length is expected to be between three and six months, with a minimum of 10 hours of work per week.
The Real Estate Data Assistant will provide support to the section and agency in assisting the Data Manager with research to fill in existing data gaps. This research includes but is not limited to determining funding of historical transactions, evaluating rights granted by public access lease and easement documents, and auditing current interest records for missing documentation. The position will reference digital and paper files, and work with other CPW staff when necessary. Specific duties include
But Are Not Limited To - Work closely with Data Manager to determine research focus areas and prepare data and file updates for database import
- Reference real estate files and documentation, both digital and on-site, to analyze financial data and flag discrepancies
- Consult financial services staff to resolve data conflicts on financial data
- Review public access legal documents to evaluate types of use permitted under each agreement; assemble findings for import to the Real Estate database
- Audit Conservation Easement documentation to catalog files that may be missing from database records
- Search digital and on-site files and work with field staff when needed to locate documentation
- Prepare CSV files for data import to Salesforce-platform database
- Assist Real Estate section staff with data or administrative tasks as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications, Substitutions, Conditions Of Employment & Appeal Rights The ideal candidate will have the following:
- Basic understanding of real estate or legal terminology
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and database relationships and functionality
- Familiarity with financial calculations and terminology
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Patience and persistence in problem-solving and reaching data-supported conclusions
Basic Requirements - Must be willing and able to work 10 hours per week at minimum.
- Must be proficient with Microsoft Excel
- Must have experience with databases, data structure, and relationship between types of data
- Exceptional attention to detail and a strong commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks with precision and maintain high-quality output.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Must have a current & valid drivers' license or reliable transportation, and be able to work on-site when needed, up to once a week.
