Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Interventional Radiologic Technologist to join the specialized imaging team at a premier academic medical center. The ideal candidate will possess extensive technical expertise in interventional procedures and thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced clinical environment.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology, Radiology, or related field.
  • Licensure /Certification : New York State License, Registration, or Eligible; Current CPR certification; Registration certification for Contrast Injection required. ARRT certification must be obtained within one year of appointment.
  • Experience: Minimum of five (5) years of progressive technical experience.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in interventional radiology equipment operation and imaging procedures.
  • Soft Skills: Strong communication abilities, attention to detail, and ability to work effectively in high-pressure situations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform complex interventional radiology procedures under physician direction
  • Operate and maintain specialized interventional imaging equipment
  • Prepare and administer contrast media according to established protocols
  • Monitor patient vital signs and status during procedures
  • Maintain sterile field and assist with invasive procedures
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
