Job Description |
Role and Responsibilities - Support the Operations Team in scheduling for internal/outsource production plans and performing administrative services as it relates to this function.
- Work closely with operations leaders and other teams to coordinate production plans that achieve the company objectives related to customer service, efficient resource/capacity utilization and inventory investment.
- Inventory management and procurement of fusion transfers.
- Responsible for analyzing scenarios that balance demand and supply while optimizing capacity and minimizing the impact of demand volatility.
- Assist with the development, testing and implementation of improvements to ERP system and production scheduling reports.
Day to Day Functions - Scheduling
- Create and review master production schedule in Excel for all production types.
- Assigning orders for production by dates and delivering estimated shipping dates (ETA Dates).
- Determine optimal production plan based on inventory availability for future orders.
- Analyze production specifications and production capacity data.
- Determine capacity and efficiency.
- Communicate with department supervisors to determine progress of assigned production and schedule attainments.
- Provide timely awareness and solutions as demand exceeds capacity.
- Keep management informed of projected overtime requirements and accurate turnaround time to meet the demand.
- Assist operations with printing/emailing of work orders.
- Outsource
- Communicate with outside vendors in tracking and managing order processes.
- Manage Production Orders with inventory suppliers.
- Track, organize, and process invoices for outsourced production.
- Pre-approve invoices with DocuShare system and verify general ledger accounts for the charges.
- Run end of month reports for accounting department
- Fusion Inventory Management
- Procure fusion transfers for stock and on demand orders
- Manage inventory levels of stock transfers
- Pre-approve invoices for payment
- Analyze processes and results and recommend improvements where necessary.
- Work with all parties involved to develop/implement improvements in A2000 software and reporting tools.
- Testing of the accuracy of all data prior to full implementation.
Qualifications - 3+ years of Production planning and materials coordination experience. Demand capacity analysis, production planning, purchasing, expediting, and/or inventory control in a manufacturing environment.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Operational efficiencies, Warehouse Management, Production desired.
- Proficiency with various personal computer software applications including but not limited to Excel, Word and Power Point. Familiarity with ERP systems a plus.
Skills - Able to use logic and methods to solve problems and determine effective solutions.
- Possess strong organizational and time management skills.
- Self-starter and willing to take initiative and make decisions.
- Effective and clear communication skills, verbal and written. Strong listening skills.
- Flexible with schedule and desire to “get the job done” past normal work schedule when needed.
Physical Requirements - Work in warehouse where climate temperatures vary between hot/cold, where standing and/or walking all day may be required. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones and photocopiers.
