Paws Up is seeking a passionate and experienced Private Chef to lead the culinary experience at The Island Lodge , our exclusive retreat nestled amidst Montana's stunning wilderness. As Private Chef, you will be the architect of exceptional dining experiences for a small group of guests, creating menus and delivering refined cuisine that reflects the seasonal bounty of Montana.

Primary Responsibilities:
Craft and execute customized, seasonal menus tailored to individual guest preferences and dietary needs.
Prepare daily meals, including lunch, dinner, and occasional snacks or special event dishes.
Source local, sustainable, and high-quality ingredients whenever possible.
Collaborate with the Island Lodge Manager and team members to plan special occasions, wine pairings, and themed dining experiences.
Maintain a clean, organized, and professional kitchen environment at all times.
Manage inventory, food orders, and kitchen supplies with attention to freshness.
Engage with guests in a warm, personable, and professional manner, embodying the spirit of hospitality we strive to achieve at Paws Up.
Ensure all meals are delivered to the highest standards of taste, presentation, and timing.
Adhere to food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards in all kitchen operations.
Cook all food according to recipe, quality, and presentation standards.
Prepare recipes alongside our culinary team to meet service deadlines.
Collaborate with our Chefs to gain insight, develop menus and maintain consistency
Identify opportunities and achieve better results next time to continue and improve our standards.
Set-up, breakdown, and maintenance of all equipment.
Assist other kitchen team members when needed.
Practice sanitation and stock rotation and refrigerator cleanliness; keep all work areas clean and tidy
Ensure confidentiality of guests before, during, and after their stay.

Looking for team members with:
~ High school diploma, GED or vocational training or job-related course work; Certificate in culinary arts or relevant field
~3+ years' experience as a Cook/Line Cook in a resort or fine dining setting
~ Knowledge of world class hospitality and service
~ Excellent communication skills
~ Valid Food Handler's License
~ Valid Driver's License with ability to meet company driving insurance policy
