Advanced Family Medicine and Wellness Center is an independent comprehensive osteopathic healthcare group focused on providing exceptional and innovative patient care, and improving the quality of life for individuals in the communities we serve. We are looking to add a part-time Medical Technician to our family of healthcare workers.
The schedule for this position will vary on a weekly basis, but should yield approximately 20-25 hours per week, with the possibility of full-time employment as desired. Our business hours are M-F 8:00a - 6:00p. Additional hours will be approved for a training period (40 hours per week, approximately 4-6 weeks).

This position will report to the Lead Medical Technician. A typical shift may include any or all of the following tasks:
Escorting patients from the waiting room to an examination room
Accurately recording and documenting patient weight, height, blood pressure, temperature, or other vitals
Assisting physicians and providers in setting up for procedures and during medical procedures
Assisting physicians and providers by communicating with pharmacies regarding patient medications
Assisting patients with setting up technology for remote communications (Telemedicine)
Administering injections to and drawing blood from patients
Performing EKGs, viral testing (other than COVID-19), applying heart monitors, and various other tasks related to the provision of patient care
Answer patient calls and accurately record information as necessary
Outbound calls to patients regarding test results and/or scheduling or rescheduling appointments
Outbound calls to insurance companies regarding approval of procedures or services
Any other patient care-related duties, as assigned

Previous experience in healthcare is strongly preferred. Medical certification (EMT, CMA, RMA, etc) is preferred.
