The Riverton Fire Protection District encompasses Riverton and the surrounding area. Our primary mission is to save lives and protect property. We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to be an essential part of our team.
Job Summary
We are seeking an organized and reliable Administrative Assistant to support daily operations. This role is crucial to maintaining a professional and efficient office environment. The ideal candidate is a skilled multitasker with excellent communication skills, a proactive attitude, and a strong sense of discretion.

Key Responsibilities**
Provide administrative support to the Riverton Fire Protection District Board of Commissioners and the Riverton Volunteer Fire Department.Serve as the primary point of contact for greeting visitors and providing excellent customer service.
Assist with the budget process and equipment purchases.
Assist with Voucher completion and prepare lists of bills payable for board review at regularly scheduled board meetings.
Maintain organized physical and digital filing systems with a high degree of confidentiality.
Act as a liaison between the Riverton Fire Protection District, the Riverton Volunteer Fire Department, City of Riverton, Fremont County Commissioners and the State of Wyoming.
Assist with special projects and other administrative duties as assigned.
Search for available grants to assist in the purchase of equipment.
Other tasks as directed by the Board of Commissioners.
Required
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
A strong organizational and time-management abilities.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
Professional and polished demeanor.
Must pass a background Check.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in Emergency Services.
Experience in grant writing,
Physically able to lift 50 pounds.
Physically able to climb a ladder or stairs.
