Material Handler
Accountable for the safe and efficient operation of the forklift. The Shipping/Receiving Material Handler loads customer trailers with products and unloads trailers of ingredients.
Verifies and keeps records of all incoming and outgoing shipments. Maintains the warehouses and storage areas.
• Currently working 12 hour shifts. Must be open to staying for daily overtime.
• Must have a good working knowledge of product labeling to ensure correct product is being shipped or received.
• Compare identifying information and count, weigh, or measure items of incoming or outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records.
• Prepare and expedite shipments – wrap pallets with plastic and affix labels, including any special customer labels; scan labels into the system; move pallets from the production floor to the warehouse and stack; fill out bills of lading and complete any additional paperwork; input information into the computer.
• Move finished products and ingredients to and from the production floor as required – pick up any returns.
• Stage product and loads the Customer trucks. Partial loads need to be stacked by hand only.
• Deliver pallets and sample cases to R&D or QC.
