About the role
The Marketing and Events Coordinator is responsible for planning, executing, and optimising marketing campaigns across various channels and developing, promoting, and delivering a range of events across Melba for both internal and external stakeholders. This position is accountable for the planning and delivery of creative events that showcase Melba’s services and meet other requirements as defined. Key focus of the role includes experience in campaign management, event management, digital marketing, and project coordination within a dynamic marketing team.
What you’ll be doing (key accountabilities)
Your background (skills and attributes)
Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, event management, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
Proven experience in marketing, communications, or event coordination, with a track record of managing large and small events successfully.
Strong understanding of digital marketing channels, social media platforms, and advertising campaign planning.
Exceptional organisational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritise, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines autonomously.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail and creativity.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with marketing tools and platforms.
Collaborative team player with strong interpersonal skills, adept at building effective partnerships across teams.
Strategic thinker with the ability to align events and communications with organisational objectives.
