Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and self-driven Process Engineer with expertise in water treatment and reclamation systems, specifically within the paper manufacturing industry. This role involves evaluating existing water processing systems at paper mills, developing detailed proposals for system upgrades or new installations, and designing schematics including component selection and physical layout. The position is primarily remote, with field visits to mill sites required as part of system evaluations and implementation planning.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct on-site assessments of existing water processing infrastructure at paper mill facilities, focusing on clarifiers, dissolved air flotation units, filtration systems, and chemical dosing.
Develop tailored water reclamation strategies aimed at reducing waste, reclaiming fiber, and improving environmental compliance. Prepare technical proposals and schematic designs for system upgrades or new installations.
Identify appropriate pumps, tanks, screens, dewatering equipment, piping, and automation components to meet project needs. Determine optimal placement and system integration.
Work from home to develop engineering documentation, including P&IDs, schematics, site layouts, and cost estimates. Collaborate with the operations and field teams on implementation planning.
Travel to mill sites for system evaluations, equipment measurements, and coordination with client personnel. All travel expenses are company-paid.
Engage with clients to present findings, explain proposed solutions, and ensure alignment with operational goals and environmental requirements.
