Position Summary:

The job of General Maintenance Worker provides maintenance services as needed and/or assigned. He/She assists in a wide variety of maintenance activities; addressing immediate operational and/or safety concerns; assisting skilled trades; and ensures that tools and materials are maintained in good working order. The Maintenance Worker reports to Maintenance Supervisor.

  Duties and Responsibilities: (Essential Duties)

• Schedule, coordinate, direct and perform routine and comprehensive custodial maintenance of assigned facilities.
• Performs various maintenance and custodial duties such as installation and repair to fixtures in restrooms and classrooms.
• Assists with and performs refinishing of floors.
• Lifting and moving of light furniture will be required
• Identifies stains and uses proper chemicals for removal.
• Performs minor ground keeping duties.
• Responds to emergency situations during and after hours for the purpose of resolving immediate safety concerns.
• Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and neatness in the schools.
• Participates in meetings, workshops, trainings, and seminars for the purpose of conveying and/or gathering information required to perform functions.
• Perform related duties as required.

  Qualifications: ( Education/Training and Experience Required)

Requirements :

High School Diploma including

3-5 years of progressively more responsible experience in general maintenance.

Valid Driving License and clean driving record
