SpecialtyRx is seeking a Pharmacy Maintenance Technician:

SpecialtyRx is seeking a skilled Pharmacy Maintenance Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be a vital part of our Pharmacy Service team, working to maintain and repair essential pharmacy equipment and systems. With your knowledge of mechanics, computers, and troubleshooting, you will help maintain smooth operations and ensure the proper functioning of machinery used in our facilities. You will also play an integral role in supporting new business and onboarding processes for our expanding company.

Under the general supervision of the Pharmacy leadership team, this position requires a proactive attitude and the ability to solve problems efficiently. The role also involves travel within Ohio, Kentucky, Pennsylvania, and surrounding areas.

Pharmacy Maintenance Technician Responsibilities:

  • Perform general facility repairs, including installations and alterations of machinery, components, and systems as assigned by the supervisor.
  • Maintain and repair medication packaging machines, automated prescription packaging machinery, medication carts, treatment carts, crash carts, shelving, and general warehouse equipment.
  • Comply with state and federal guidelines, including OSHA standards, both within the facility and while on the road.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair production equipment to minimize downtime and ensure achievement of daily and weekly production expectations.
  • Analyze and determine the most efficient routes for service repairs, equipment deliveries, and pick-ups at client facilities.
  • Complete necessary paperwork and electronic records, including scheduling, service call tracking, and inventory management.
  • Make service calls to facilities in Ohio, Pennsylvania, Kentucky, and potentially other surrounding states.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues in production workflows, including warehouse setup, medication card sealing, printer troubleshooting, and minor plumbing/electrical/building repairs.
  • Ensure all parts, equipment, supplies, and usage are logged accurately in the designated systems.
  • Assist in the transportation of equipment to and from long-term care facilities, suppliers, and pharmacy locations when needed.
  • Maintain safety conditions of equipment and promptly report or correct safety issues.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Shift: 11am-7:30pm Monday-Friday (Flexible with Weekends, Evenings as needed).

Pharmacy Maintenance Technician Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Will be required to get Pharmacy Technician License in State of Kentucky.
  • Previous pharmacy experience is a plus.
  • Previous maintenance or warehouse experience is a plus.
  • At least one year of experience in long-term care preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to lift 70-100 lbs.
  • Ability to push up to 600 pounds with support.
  • Valid driver’s license, insurance, and reliable transportation required.
  • Willingness to travel within Ohio, Kentucky, Pennsylvania, and other surrounding areas.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and basic technology skills.
