Job Description

Apogee Solutions, a Woman-Owned Small Business, is seeking multiple Logisticians to support the Army Medical Logistics Command (AMLC) at Fort Detrick, MD. Qualified candidates must have a SECRET clearance.

The Logisticians plans, develops, and executes logistic program activities from conceptual stage through life cycle of product. The AMLC is an Army’s Class VIII Life Cycle Management Command responsible for executing the medical material management functions for combatant commands. AMLC is designed to sustain operational medical capabilities in all phases of combat operations. The complexity of these services requires expert knowledge in the other Army commodity area business processes, IT systems (e.g. Global Combat Support System- Army, Theater Enterprise-Wide Logistics System, Logistics Modernization Program, and Army Enterprise Systems Integration Program Hub), and financial management so the MEDLOG enterprise can assimilate into Army business processes.

The Logistician will:

• Develop and implement logistics program activities, including ILS, technical documentation, RAM, and provisioning.
• Consult and resolve logistics problems.
• Compile data on standardization and interchangeability of parts to expedite logistic activities.
• Analyze and coordinate the ongoing logistical functions of the Army.
• Oversee the entire life cycle of a product, including the acquisition, distribution, internal allocation, delivery, and final disposal of resources.

Required Experience:

• Active DOD SECRET clearance
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
• 10 year’s prior Army logistics experience OR a certified Professional Logistician (CPL) certificate and 4 year’s logistics experience
