What You Will Do

Freshpet is looking for a junior designer to assist in creative services our team provides to the organization, which includes many ways to impact the business from advertising and social media development, to photoshoot planning, and on set art direction. This role will be an integral part in scaling our creative services, and building a stronger brand online and offline.

How You Will Make An Impact

• Collaborate with the digital and marketing team to brainstorm ideas and bring creative concepts to life across needs for organic social, retail, ecommerce, and offline. Work closely with internal teams to understand project requirements, specs, and deliver designs on time, on brand, and on budget
• Manage and support the creative team from a heavy production standpoint and help to resize assets for advertising needs, check against platform safe areas, and uphold high attention to detail
• Develop ideas and bring to life creative concepts and video ideas for social media from both an organic and paid perspective
• Be a brand steward, obsessing over the details to ensure 100% brand consistency
• Work with the creative team to develop mood boards as needed for photoshoots, and assist in person for ongoing photoshoots, pack product for shoots, pack props for shoots and assist in all planning and on set for video and photo shoots
• Help the team to organize all assets and deliver final assets to different teams across the organization
• Self-manage weekly workload, prioritizing work as needed across multiple projects and client teams simultaneously and meeting tight deadlines without compromising quality
• Work with the creative team to update brand guidelines

What You Will Bring

• Ability to work in the office 2 days a week (current location is Secaucus, NJ, however we will be relocating to Bedminster, NJ in Q2 2024)
• Bachelor's degree ideally in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or related field and must have an available online portfolio
• Minimum 1-2+ years of professional experience at an agency or in-house creative environment
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator), Figma, and other relevant design software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Google products)
• Mastery of type, color, and composition, and a demonstrable interest in advertising, design, and digital trends
• Someone who loves pets, and is comfortable around dogs
• A passion for design and creative work
• Highly organized and methodical with eye for detail
• Possess great communication skills

Bonus points

• Proficiency with video and editing, after effects
• Working knowledge of figma
• Experience with e-commerce (amazon), CMS website and email editing tools
