Job Summary

We are looking for an Investments Portfolio Analytics Analyst to join our team! In this role, you will support the VP of Investments Portfolio Analytics in optimizing and enhancing our investment portfolio analytics platform. You will be responsible for reviewing and validating risk analytics, creating reports for management and board presentations, and addressing investment and risk requirements. Additionally, you will engage with various teams, including investment strategy, investment risk, investment accounting, operations, treasury, and technology.

Duties and Responsibilities

- Create, reconcile, scrub, and maintain investment holdings and transaction data using investment technologies such as FactSet, Bloomberg, and Aladdin, alongside the accounting platform Clearwater and Blackstone-provided data.
- Take ownership of analytic outputs and model governance, ensuring the highest standards are met.
- Understand the capabilities and functionalities of models across different asset classes and determine necessary changes to model inputs.
- Verify the accuracy of cash flow and analytic outputs.
- Liaise with platform providers to establish standards for internal use cases, becoming a super-user and supporting internal teams in system usage.
- Leverage internal tools to produce quarterly board reports and materials for investment committees.
- Create accurate and consistent returns and attribution reports, including:
- Portfolio performance against targets
- Book yield versus original sales targets
- Insurance premiums received versus invested
- Generate forecasted portfolio cash flows to support investment accounting, actuarial modeling, asset-liability management, and cash management.
- Coordinate with partner teams to provide investment-related data for enterprise reporting requirements.
- Collaborate with Treasury, Middle Office, and Investment Accounting to ensure seamless trade activity flow to downstream systems.
- Enhance operational efficiency within the cash management process.
- Support the investment data process by automating existing processes and integrating various systems.
- Identify and correct data errors in investment tools while ensuring consistency across platforms.
- Assist in calculating CECL allowances for impairments.
- Help create reports for management detailing total fees paid for investment management services from external managers.
- Provide ad-hoc analytical support as needed.

Experience and Education Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Economics, Investments, or a related field (preferred).
- 3-5 years of experience in portfolio risk and performance analysis, public and private investment modeling, or investment data.
- Expertise in linking analytic systems and report automation.
- Professional designations such as CFA, FRM, CIPM, and/or CAIA are beneficial.

Skills and Abilities

- Strong proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint.
- Familiarity with Access/database, SQL, and VBA.
- Competence in using Bloomberg, BlackRock Aladdin, and/or Clearwater (preferred).
