Job Description

Position: HVAC Service Technician

Pay: $40/hour - $50/hour

Location: Raleigh, NC

Responsibilities:

• Service, maintain, and repair commercial HVAC systems, including heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration units, chillers, and boilers.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC system issues, developing effective solutions to resolve them.
• Perform routine maintenance to ensure HVAC systems operate safely and efficiently, including tasks such as cleaning coils, replacing filters, and lubricating motors.
• Install and program thermostats and other HVAC control systems.
• Maintain accurate records of all work performed, including materials used and time spent on each job.
• Communicate with customers to explain the work being performed, answer questions, and provide guidance on HVAC system operation and maintenance.
• Stay current with the latest technologies and industry developments related to HVAC systems.
• Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe work environment.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent; an Associate's degree or certification in HVAC or a related field is preferred.
• Over 5 years of experience in commercial HVAC installation, maintenance, and repair.
• Strong understanding of HVAC systems, including their design, operation, and components.
• Knowledge of refrigeration systems and their operation.
• Ability to read and interpret technical schematics and diagrams.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate records.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
