Spire is seeking a Human Resources Business Partner to support part of Spire's Field Operations (Construction & Maintenance, Service, etc.). This position will be based out of Spire's Kansas City location (by the stadiums) and is responsible for consulting with regional leaders and providing guidance and support to the business across all areas of Human Resources.
Qualified candidates must bring the following experience and skills to be considered:
Function as an internal consultant to management and others by helping them identify and resolve issues, encouraging excellent management practices, anticipating internal organization issues, proposing solutions, and understanding/representing the employee perspective
Drive an inclusive culture throughout the organization using data, metrics, and industry best practice
Provide HR guidance and support to the business across a breadth of areas, including talent management, employee development, performance management, change management, and employee relations
Support the EEO and Affirmative Action initiatives, assuring that training, communications, and policies are in place and functioning those address areas of under-utilization and ensure compliance with corporate objectives
Facilitate talent reviews and succession planning discussions and work with the business to ensure plans are actively put into practice
Assist with labor relations initiatives, assuring compliance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement and NLRB legislation, including contract preparation, negotiations, and interpretation
Investigate claims of discrimination and harassment and serve as a resource for employees with related questions and concerns
Keep abreast of current HR legislation and trends and assist in the updating of programs as required

MINIMUM five (5) years of HR Business Partner experience, or 7+ as an HR Generalist, required
Demonstrated experience critically thinking through complex workforce situations
Experience driving change through business groups
Experience supporting a unionized workforce preferred
Experience supported a geographically-dispersed workforce preferred
SPHR/PHR Certification preferred
