Job Summary:

This internship is designed to promote meaningful work experiences and create pipeline for entry level positions within our healthcare system. Under supervision, the intern performs a wide variety of tasks providing support and assistance to administrative or professional team members on a variety of teams such as Human Resources, Support Services, and Operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Greet employees and visitors to the hospital departments
  • Answer telephones and inquiries, referring when appropriate.
  • Help to organize department supplies.
  • Support the mail room and courier by delivering materials to different departments.
  • Help to maintain a clean and organized environment.
  • Keep appointments on schedule by properly notifying of meeting guest arrival.
  • Maintain reception, break room, and conference room areas.
  • Prepare education and workforce packets.
  • Perform data entry tasks to support daily office operations.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications/Requirements:

Experience:

1 year performing general office/clerical experience in an office setting preferred.

Education:

Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent, required.

Licenses / Certifications:

Other:

Excellent interpersonal, telephone and customer service skills. Time management, organization, attention to detail, scheduling, and word processing preferred.
