Eternal Light is a dynamic nonprofit organization dedicated to fighting hunger and supporting community development worldwide. We are seeking a skilled Grant Writer to join our team and play a vital role in securing funding to support our impactful projects and initiatives.

Job Summary:

As a Grant Writer at Eternal Light, you will be instrumental in identifying funding opportunities and crafting compelling grant proposals. Your primary responsibility will be to research, write, and submit grant applications that align with our mission and programs. You will collaborate with our program managers and leadership to gather the necessary information and data required for grant proposals.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Grant Research: Identify and evaluate potential funding sources, including government grants, private foundations, corporate grants, and other opportunities that align with Eternal Light's mission and objectives.
  2. Proposal Development: Prepare persuasive grant proposals and applications that effectively convey our organization's goals, strategies, and impact. Customize proposals to meet the specific requirements of each funding opportunity.
  3. Collaboration: Collaborate closely with program managers and finance professionals to collect the data, budgets, and supporting documents needed for grant applications.
  4. Grant Management: Oversee the end-to-end grant application and reporting process, ensuring compliance with all deadlines and reporting requirements for awarded grants.
  5. Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of grant submissions, responses, and outcomes. Continuously track successes and areas for improvement.
  6. Compliance Awareness: Stay informed about grant regulations and compliance requirements to ensure that Eternal Light adheres to all terms and conditions associated with funding.
  7. Relationship Building: Foster positive relationships with current and potential funders, including attending meetings and networking events when necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., English, Communications, Nonprofit Management).
  • Proven experience in grant writing, including a successful track record of grant awards.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong research and analytical abilities.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
  • Familiarity with nonprofit organizations and fundraising principles.
  • Proficiency in grant databases and research tools.
  • Knowledge of budgeting and financial reporting.
  • Experience with project management software is a plus.
