Job Summary:
We are seeking an enthusiastic, detail-oriented, and proactive Event Assistant to join our dynamic events team. The ideal candidate will provide support in planning, organizing, and executing a variety of events, from corporate meetings and conferences to social gatherings and trade shows. This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in event management and contribute to the successful execution of memorable events.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the planning and coordination of events, ensuring all logistics are in place prior to the event day.
- Help source and liaise with vendors, including caterers, decorators, and equipment rental companies.
- Assist with event registration, guest lists, and communication with attendees.
- Help set up event spaces, ensuring proper layout, decorations, and signage.
- Provide on-site support during events, ensuring everything runs smoothly and attendees’ needs are met.
- Assist in handling any issues or last-minute changes that may arise during events.
- Maintain an organized inventory of event supplies and materials.
- Assist with post-event evaluations, including collecting feedback and documenting lessons learned.
- Provide administrative support to the event team, including scheduling meetings, tracking budgets, and preparing reports.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (college degree in event planning, marketing, or a related field preferred).
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and event management software (e.g., Eventbrite, Cvent, or similar tools) is preferred.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required by event schedules.
