Overview

Carollo Engineers is an internationally recognized environmental engineering firm that specializes in the planning, design, and construction of water and wastewater facilities. We are seeking an Entry Level Civil/Environmental Engineer to support water/wastewater treatment and pipeline projects. The primary focus will be local projects and clients in North Texas, but will also occasionally support projects outside of Texas.

Responsibilities

  • Performing engineering work in water and wastewater treatment and conveyance infrastructure
  • Work on engineering planning and design projects
  • Prepare reports
  • Develop plans and specifications
  • Prepare cost estimates for various water and wastewater projects
  • System modeling
  • Permitting and alternative analysis
  • Preparation of technical memoranda, reports and electronic deliverables
  • Data entry and analysis
  • Provide engineering services during construction
  • Participate in field activities such as pilot testing

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in civil or environmental engineering
  • Minimum academic requirements include coursework in physical, chemical, and biological processes; hydraulics; and principles of water and wastewater treatment plant and infrastructure design
  • 0 to 4 years of directly-relevant experience in water and wastewater engineering
  • Engineer-in-Training Certification
  • Application of engineering principles including critical thinking, analysis, and innovative techniques
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Work well in a team environment
  • Highly motivated, articulate, and self-starting
  • Proficient in MS Word and Excel

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in civil or environmental engineering
  • Familiarity with computer applications including ArcGIS, AutoCAD, and water and sewer hydraulic calculations/modeling software (WaterGEMS, InfoWater, InfoWorks ICM, InfoSWMM)
