  • Responsible for both traditional and cloud based infrastructure implementations based on designs from infrastructure architects

What you'll do

  • Engineers custom Kubernetes operators using Go and controller-runtime 
  • Manages multi-tenant Kubernetes platform 
  • Orchestrates enterprise-wide applications at both the compute and the network layer for global availability and resiliency 
  • Enhances developer productivity via time saving developer experience and orchestration features 
  • Works with other enterprise platform teams to promote and build automated solutions to common issues 
  • Encourages an environment of sharing and teamwork among the team. 
  • Stays current with systems technology best practices and changing technologies, in order to maintain domain expertise and recommend enhancements or changes 
  • Supports communication and response process by responding to users on system issues, maintenance, and system status, and advising and escalating on any prolonged or major issues 
  • Travels, as required 
  • Mandatory rotational schedule for on-call off-hours support 

All you'll need for success

Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Technology, Information Systems (CIS/MIS), Engineering or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience/training
  • 3 years of experience as a network or infrastructure engineer or software developer 

Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Technology, Information Systems (CIS/MIS), Engineering or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience/training
  • 5+ years of experience as a network or infrastructure engineer or software developer

Skills, Licenses & Certifications

  • Strong understanding of Go and related programming concepts 
  • Strong understanding of software testing strategies and practices 
  • Strong understanding of Kubernetes and fundamental Kubernetes controller concepts 
  • Strong understanding of core networking concepts and best practices including: 
    • DNS 
    • DOH 
    • DNS load balancing 
    • Mesh overlays 
    • m/TLS 
    • NAT 
    • UNIX networking 
  • Strong understanding of distributed systems concepts 
  • Strong understanding of DevOps philosophy and best practices 
  • Experience with some or all of the following tools:
