Position Summary And Responsibilities The Driver Helper position will assist the driver in the unloading and delivery of products on the route.
- Assist the Driver with routes delivering products consisting of multiple stops.
- Place delivered products in various assigned storage locations at each stop according to customer’s request.
- Maintain accuracy of delivered product with no damage due to mishandling.
- Perform duties by following the Company’s safety standards.
- Represent Ben E. Keith Company with professionalism, maintaining a positive attitude and dress code.
- Assist in reading maps and directions with driver
- Report delays, accidents or other traffic and transportation situations to bases.
Education And/or Work Experience Requirements - Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must have a valid drivers license.
- High School Education/GED required
Physical Requirements - Able to perform repetitive lifting of over 50lbs., occasional lifting over 100lbs.
- Must be able to work in all types of weather conditions.
- Must be able to walk extensively.
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time, bend at the waist, stoop, and squat to lift heavy items in a proper manner.
- Must have normal use of shoulders, arms, wrist, hands, feet and legs.
- Must be able to read numbers and product descriptions.
