Director of International Recruitment and Selection (Admissions) Closes: Job Type: Full Time Location: Wooster, OH Summary: The Director of International Recruitment and Selection is responsible for initiating and implementing all aspects of the College's international recruitment strategy. Responsibilities include cultivating connections, building relationships and managing application and yield activity in select international markets. Essential Departmental Duties and Responsibilities: Serves on Vice President for Enrollment Management leadership team to ensure recruitment activity and selection strategy aligns with institutional mission and goals. Participates in bi-monthly planning meetings, mentors and supervises staff, and represents the division or institution on- and off-campus. Coordinates and implements international recruitment initiatives including travel (individual and group), interviews and presentations, digital and print communication, virtual engagement, and counselor cultivation activities. Evaluates all international student applications and determines scholarship eligibility. Develops, analyzes, and responds to data reports while remaining current with market research and trends. Supervises professional staff and student ambassadors who support international recruitment activity. Assists with domestic recruitment activities as needed, such as evaluating applications, conducting interviews, and participating in on- and off-campus programs. Performs other duties as assigned. Job Requirements: Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Education and/or Experience: Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university (Masters preferred). Valid driver's license and passport with the ability to travel for recruitment purposes. Minimum of five years of college admission or school counseling experience, preferably with an international focus. Must be able to certify as one of the College's SEVIS Designated School Officials (DSO) to support I-20 and visa application processes for incoming students. Knowledge Skills and Abilities: Skills: Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. Creative and effective project management abilities. Strong attention to detail in recruiting prospective students. Ability to tailor strategies for advising students and families on the college search and financial aid processes. Knowledge: Capable of serving as a campus thought leader and partner on matters related to international recruitment and selection. Able to work independently and collaboratively within a team. Skilled at managing multiple tasks simultaneously. Proficient and adaptable with technology, including Microsoft Office Suite and CRM systems (preferably Slate). Abilities: Demonstrates cultural competency and knowledge of international education systems. Follows ethical, professional practices and always maintains confidentiality. Work Environment: This position is primarily based on campus; however, hybrid or fully remote work arrangements may be considered. Position requires the ability to travel unassisted by various means of transportation and in all weather conditions. Must be able to attend select in-person and on-campus events and programming throughout the year. Travel consists of approximately 8-10 weeks of international recruitment activities annually. Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the staff member is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms. The individual must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close and distance vision.
