Job Description

Digital Organizing Manager
North Shore Strategies – New York City
Compensation: $5,400 per month
Classification: Exempt
Start Date / End Date: 08/01/2025 – 11/04/2025
Reports To: Lead Account Manager

North Shore Strategies is seeking an experienced and innovative Digital Organizing Manager to design, implement, and lead a comprehensive digital organizing program for a political campaign in New York City. The ideal candidate will be fluent in digital event platforms, relational organizing tools, and online volunteer engagement strategies, and will excel at building meaningful pathways for volunteers to deepen their involvement.

This role requires exceptional project management, a deep understanding of digital organizing tools and best practices, and the ability to mobilize both in-state and out-of-state volunteers to achieve ambitious campaign goals.

About the Role

As the Digital Organizing Manager, you will be responsible for building, managing, and optimizing the campaign’s digital organizing infrastructure. You’ll oversee programs across multiple platforms — including digital event tools (e.g., Mobilize), relational organizing tools (e.g., Reach, Impactive), digital communication tools (e.g., Zoom), and phone banking platforms (e.g., predictive dialers) — to reach, engage, and activate supporters at scale.

You’ll collaborate with campaign leadership to design a ladder of engagement that moves volunteers from initial participation to deeper involvement in our relational organizing program. You’ll also directly engage with out-of-state volunteers, ensuring they are trained, supported, and effectively integrated into the campaign’s operations.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Design & Implement Digital Organizing Strategy:
Build a comprehensive digital organizing program leveraging multiple tools and platforms to recruit, train, and engage volunteers.
  • Volunteer Recruitment & Retention:
Develop outreach strategies to recruit new volunteers, including out-of-state supporters, and create pathways for sustained engagement.
  • Event & Program Management:
Organize and oversee virtual events, trainings, and volunteer shifts using platforms like Mobilize, Zoom, and other event tools.
  • Relational Organizing Leadership:
Launch and manage relational organizing programs using platforms like Reach or Impactive, guiding volunteers through structured engagement plans.
  • Phone Bank Operations:
Coordinate and manage virtual phone banking efforts using dialer technology, ensuring quality control and performance tracking.
  • Data & Metrics:
Track volunteer engagement metrics across platforms, analyze performance, and adjust strategies to maximize impact.
  • Collaboration:
Work closely with the Lead Account Manager and other campaign leadership to align digital organizing efforts with broader campaign goals.

Qualifications

  • One to two years of experience in digital organizing, volunteer management, or political campaign work.
  • Proficiency in digital organizing tools (Mobilize, Reach, Impactive, predictive dialers, Zoom, or similar).
  • Proven track record of building and managing volunteer engagement programs.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Data-driven mindset with the ability to interpret engagement metrics and optimize programs.
  • Problem-solving skills and adaptability to evolving campaign needs.
  • Willingness to work evenings and weekends as required
