Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our team in providing exceptional patient care within our non-profit Community Health Center dental clinic. The ideal candidate will be responsible for promoting oral health and hygiene, performing dental cleanings, and assisting in the overall management of patient care. This role is crucial in ensuring that patients receive the highest quality of dental services in a comfortable and professional environment.

Duties

• Performs preliminary patient evaluations of intra/extra oral exams and vital signs and record findings.
• Assesses and completes health history every 6 months.
• Assist the dentist during procedures by providing necessary support and ensuring patient comfort.
• Maintain accurate patient records, including medical coding and documentation of treatments performed.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive care, including pediatric dentistry when applicable.
• Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and maintain a clean and organized dental office environment.
• Uphold confidentiality at all times in regards to CBHA activities, reports, financials, patient health information and other proprietary information specific to CBHA.
• Provides oral hygiene instruction to patients.
• Assists dental receptionist with recall system.
• Schedules and confirms patients.
• Organizes and participates in community dental health projects.
• Other duties as assigned according to pursuant of RCW 18.29.

Skills

• Ability to prepare basic correspondence and simple reports in Microsoft Word.
• Ability to use Microsoft Excel to create tables and simple displays of information.
• Ability to use Electronic Medical Records software.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Dental Hygiene School.
• Licensed to practice Dental Hygiene in Washington State.
• Possesses CPR certification or ability to obtain within designated timeframe.
• Ability to effectively treat all forms of periodontal disease.
• Ability to place permanent alloy, composite, and temporary restorations.
• Ability to administer anesthetic to their patients when required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay : $89,131.00 - $96,114.00 per year
