Description:
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Cost Accountant with 2-3 years of experience in the manufacturing industry. The ideal candidate will analyze and control costs, optimize financial processes, and ensure accurate cost accounting records. This is a full-time, permanent position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and analyze cost accounting systems to track manufacturing costs, including material, labor, and overhead expenses.
• Prepare and analyze cost reports, profitability analysis, and variance reports.
• Assist in the development of standard costs and ensure accurate inventory valuation.
• Conduct periodic physical inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies.
• Monitor production costs, identify inefficiencies, and recommend cost-saving strategies.
• Collaborate with production, procurement, and finance teams to ensure accurate costing and budgeting.
• Support the month-end and year-end closing process, including journal entries and reconciliations.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 2-3 years of experience in cost accounting within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of cost accounting principles, financial reporting, and variance analysis.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial modeling.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
