Job Description
Cost Accountant - Prepare and analyze production efficiency and yield variance reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company standards
- Conduct through analysis of raw material costs and variances, identifying opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
- Responsible for updating and auditing all aspects of production incentive calculations for presentation to senior management
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes, providing insights into cost trends and variances.
- Support month end / year end close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Assist in calculating labor and overheads rates for the upcoming year and periodically prepare standard to actual variance reports.
- Collaborate with a cross functional team to maintain inventory master data.
Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance or related field
- 3-5 years of experience in cost accounting or a related role, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong analytical skills with ability to work with large sets of raw data.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- SAP and AS400 Experience preferred.
- Ability to commute between the manufacturing site and corporate office.
- Ability to work independently in a fast paced environment,
