Dunlop Protective Footwear in Havre de Grace (MD) is the global market leader in safety footwear within the boots segment. With an excellent brand name and a worldwide position of its Purofort products, Dunlop is active in the design, development and manufacture of high quality boots. It offers its customers worldwide high quality safety boots for professional use in sectors such as agriculture, food processing, construction, infrastructure, mining and oil & gas. The three advanced production locations are located in Leiria (Portugal), Havre de Grace (USA) and Raalte (The Netherlands) were also the organization's headquarter is located.
Position Overview: The Cost Accountant will be responsible for setting up the standard costs for products manufactured, making a bridge with Supply Chain for inventory management and work with different departments in a strategic way to streamline production elements utilization, cost calculations and control. It is expected that the person in this position will help the team finding cost saving and efficiency opportunities in Production, OPEX and CAPEX as well. The person will be a key business partner for the company’s management team.
Essential Functions: - Inventory Management and Adjustment
- Production rates calculation and follow-up
- Production variances monitoring (PPV, MUV, CCV…)
- Profitability analysis per product and product line
- OPEX Plan vs Actual and forecasting with area managers
- Logistics costs calculation and follow-up
- Product margins review
- Standard cost calculation and review
- Cost center structure management
- Support Supply Chain with demand planning
- Ensure Internal Controls Compliance for Cost Accounting
Required Education and Experience: - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Economics, Business/Administration or related areas
- Previous work experience in a manufacturing environment
- Microsoft Office package intermediate level - especially MS Excel
- Knowledge in US GAAP and IFRS
- Previous experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 ERP desired
- 3+ years of experience in Cost Accounting

Compensation: $75,000 - 90,000
Location: On Site 4 days a week in Havre de Grace Maryland. Tele-Work 1 day once probationary period is completed
