The Staff Services Manager I (SSM I), Contracts Manager, is responsible for the supervision and guidance of three to five employees in the Contract Services Unit. Duties include planning, organizing and directing contracting activities to ensure compliance with all required statutes, regulations, and policies. This position also acts as the Subject Matter Expert on the review and analysis of proposed legislation and bill analysis and contract policy on behalf of the Department. The SSM I also provides departmental staff and management with advice and consultation on complex and sensitive matters related to contracting activities.

Incumbent will work in a standard business office environment under the direction of the Staff Services Manager II. Working hours will be Monday - Friday from 8:00am - 5:00pm, on-site.
This position is designated under the Conflict of Interest Code. The position is responsible for making or participating in the making of governmental decisions that may potentially have a material effect on personal financial interests. The appointee is required to complete Form 700 within 30 days of appointment. Failure to comply with the Conflict of Interest Code requirements may void the appointment.
The Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) serves as documentation of each applicant’s ability to present information clearly and concisely in writing.
