Job Description

We are seeking a Construction Manager to join our team on a variety of high-profile commercial & hospitality projects. The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years of experience in a project management or construction superintendent role, preferably in commercial office or hospitality projects.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree from an accredited school, or equal

Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Project

Ability to read and understand drawings including, but not limited to: Floor plans, Interior elevations, Reflected ceiling plans, Millwork details, and Finish schedules.

Excellent and effective written, verbal, and team management skills.

Broad knowledge base of general construction with In-depth experience with interior construction

Strong leadership, organization, ability to multitask and adapt to a variety of challenges.

Experience with field management of projects and trades

Skilled In rough and finish carpentry Is preferred

Proficient In Spanish Is preferred but not required

Role Responsibilities:

Manage construction processes such as budgeting, bidding, budgeting, contract management, scheduling, RFIs, submittals, monthly draws/Invoices, and close out

Prepare and manage the project budget, project schedule and project cash flow

Assist with code-related construction Issues

Prepare project status reports for clients and team members as needed

Act as point person with BSP staff, tenants and subcontractors, managing communications and documenting decisions throughout all phases of construction

Coordinate and collaborate with BSP design, property management and leasing and 3rd party consultants on all construction related Issues and maintain professional relationships.

Process and track purchases and deliveries to align with overall project schedules.

Consult with subcontractors, vendors, and fabricators and secure appropriate proposals.

Participate in construction administration tasks and regular site visits to lead and monitor progress, quality control, safety and personnel.

Job Type: Full-time, Salaried position, 40+ hours/weekly

Salary Range: $100k - $150k

Location: 600 W Van Buren office and various project sites throughout Chicago
