We are seeking a driven and experienced Production Manager to oversee operations in our licensed cannabis processing and production facility. This leadership role is responsible for managing daily workflows, ensuring compliance with Cannabis Regulatory Agency (CRA) standards, and driving production efficiency across pre-roll, extraction, and packaging departments.
The ideal candidate brings a strong background in cannabis manufacturing, proven leadership skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, regulated environment.
Lead day-to-day cannabis production operations, including pre-rolls, extraction support, weighing, labeling, and packaging.
Maintain real-time batch records, product traceability, and ensure accuracy in METRC and internal systems.
Coordinate labor assignments, equipment usage, and material flow to meet production goals and maintain efficiency.
Monitor KPIs such as yield, throughput, labor efficiency, and process accuracy.
Ensure strict adherence to CRA regulations, internal SOPs, and safety protocols.
Perform routine audits of compliance documentation, product labels, and batch records.
Work collaboratively with compliance and QA teams to prevent deviations and maintain readiness for inspections.
Foster a culture of safety and accountability on the production floor.
Supervise, support, and develop production staff through training, performance feedback, and role delegation.
Promote clear communication across shifts to ensure consistency in processes and standards.
Resolve operational issues quickly and proactively report escalated concerns to upper management.
High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree in manufacturing, cannabis operations, or related field preferred.
2–4 years of cannabis production or warehouse leadership experience required.
Deep understanding of CRA regulations , seed-to-sale tracking (METRC) , and cannabis compliance practices.
Proven leadership ability with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Proficiency in managing production schedules, inventory systems, and quality metrics.
Ability to lift 50 lbs and work on your feet in a fast-paced production environment.
Must be at least 21 years old and legally authorized to work in the State of Michigan under CRA regulations.
