Job Description

A well-respected mid-sized law firm is seeking an experienced Billing Assistant to join its Los Angeles office. This full-time, on-site position offers the opportunity to work closely with attorneys and staff in a collaborative environment while managing the firm’s billing and client invoicing processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, review, and process client invoices accurately and efficiently.
  • Manage electronic billing (e-billing) through vendor portals such as Tymetrix, CounselLink, Legal Tracker, and other client systems.
  • Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding invoices.
  • Communicate with attorneys, clients, and administrative staff to resolve billing discrepancies or issues.
  • Maintain billing records and support month-end reporting as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years of law firm billing experience required.
  • Proficiency with ProLaw or similar legal billing software.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Professional, team-oriented attitude and client-service mindset.

Compensation: $65,000 – $70,000 DOE + Discretionary Bonus
