Large managed care company looking to fill a short term Patient Care coordinator contract role in Longwood, FL.
Responsibilities:
1. Greets patients as they arrive and manages 20 minute wait time.
2. Assists patient with intake processes including copying required documents.
3. Assist with coordination and processing of all patient referrals for specialty services.
4. Enter all referral, hospital, outpatient, DME and other patient specialty health service authorizations into the computer system according to Company policy and procedure.
5. Receives consultant reports, maintains documentation, and routes to the appropriate physician promptly.
Required:
1. One to two years of related work experience including data entry.
2. Working knowledge of medical office procedures and medical terminology.
3. Ability to accurately sort and file materials by alphabetic or numeric systems.
4. Effective communication and customer service skills required.
5. Ability to multitask, effective time-management, and organization.
