Assistant Legal Billing Specialist Responsibilities:
Assist with preparing and processing client invoices under guidance from senior billing staff
Review pre-bills and time entries to ensure compliance and accuracy
Submit invoices through a variety of e-billing systems
Respond professionally to billing-related inquiries from attorneys and clients
Keep organized and detailed billing records
Perform data entry and assist with month-end billing close
Learn legal billing protocols and apply firm-specific processes
Assistant Legal Billing Specialist Requirements:
1–2 years of experience in billing or accounting
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage priorities
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with billing software (Aderant a plus)
Interest in law or legal services
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
